1503 Blue Rhinestone Seahorse Cigar Box Purse

I suppose it’s safe to say that I’m a little over the top about seahorses lately and these Lilly prints seem to lend themselves so well! This cigar box purse boasts a beautifully encrusted, blue rhinestone, up cycled, seahorse brooch that has been attached to a Don Pepin Garcia cigar box. It rests on a blue, with specs of lime green, decoupaged image of mermaids and seahorses and is further adorned by four deep blue crystals in the corners- just delightful! The cigar box itself is brown and wooden with dovetail detailing in the corners. The inside of the cigar box has been lovingly lined with padded green gingham fabric and blue ball trim for a bit of a preppy feel and the original, authentic, Don Pepin Garcia label remains on the inner lid. The matching colorful seal has also been left intact on the top and back of the cigar box! The back of the cigar box purse has been painted black and sealed. The cigar box has been flipped so that the opening is now on the top and has been given a gold three ball lock for security. Gold purse feet have been added to the back and bottom for protection. Gold hardware has been attached to the sides so that you may add a strap that you already own. This makes these little cigar box purses of mine versatile in that they can be worn by the handle, over the shoulder or cross- body. I sell straps and gold and silver cross body chains too. The chain in the last photo is available, but not included.  The handle is made up of gorgeous silver, green, aqua and blue beads and an aqua and silver tassel.  7 x 7 x 2.75″ THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! Large flaws will be noted in the description. If you don’t like what you see, I can do custom cigar box purses and can include anything you like!- pictures of family members, pets, places- you name it! I always ship insured. History: (from Wikipedia) Christened José García, Pepin was born into a large family of tobacco growers/cigar makers in Báez, a town in Villa Clara province, Cuba.[1] His son, Jaime Garcia is following in his father’s footsteps. He and his father created the blend for the Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ brand. His daughter, Janny O. Garcia, is also involved in the family business. Don Pepin began his life with tobacco in December 1961 at the age of 11 when he began working in a factory in Báez owned by an uncle.[1] In March 1963, he began working at the Félix Rodríguez export cigar factory in Báez where he worked until he emigrated to Nicaragua in 2001.[1] He spent thirty years in Cuba developing his skills as a torcedor (cigar roller) and blender, earned numerous accolades for his blending abilities and achieved the highest ranking possible as a cigar roller, Class 8 (Master). Among the awards he won was the Productivity Prize for rolling 320 Julietas (a vitola of 7 x 48 in size) in four hours.[1] The Cuban press often compared the speed and dexterity of his rolling to that of a magician.[1] He is also a Tabaquero Maestro (Master Blender), and was also a “teacher of teachers” in the arts of blending and rolling cigars.[2] He helped blend cigars such as CohibaPartagas, and Montecristo. During the 1990s, he was in charge of Quality Assurance for the Cohiba brand,[3] and was also a consultant to several Cuban cigar makers. Also during the 1990s, he was accounted Cuba’s most productive master roller. He left Cuba in 2001, going first to Nicaragua, then he went to Miami, Florida but soon established his own company and factory. The company, El Rey de los Habanos, Inc. was begun in June 2002,[1] but was not formally incorporated until December of that year. He is currently the President, and his daughter Janny is the treasurer.[4] The corporate offices are at 1120 SW 8th St, Miami, Florida.[4]
