1586 Marie Antoinette Cigar Box Purse
I fell in love with this image of (who I think) must be the outrageous Marie Antoinette wearing a huge ship hat with French handwriting in the background! I further adorned the image with a fleur de lis, up cycled brooch and four large red crystals- so cute! THIS IS NOT A CUBAN CIGAR BOX! The cigar box is a La Gloria Cubana, Serie r No. 7, brown, wooden slide opening box. I painted the back of the cigar box black and sealed it. Eight gold purse feet have been added to the back and bottom for protection and a crystal and antique gold knob closure has been added for security. The gold chain is included and is attached with gold cross body hardware on the sides. It can be used cross body, doubled to wear over the wrist, or removed completely. Some of my clients have some, or many, other chains or straps that can also be used! The inside is fabulously lined in padded and plush red velvet and gold trim! 7.5 x 6 x 4.5″ – nice and deep. Why be the same??? THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! They only add character and charm! Large flaws will be noted in the description.
