1396 Cuesta-Rey Cigar Box Clutch / Crossbody Purse

Oh, oh this cigar box clutch is small but mighty– so beautifully classic! It can be worn as a clutch or with the chain as a crossbody bag. Perfect for an evening out! It’s a Belicoso No. 11- red with colorful trim and yellow sides and with the original and authentic labels in and out of a Cuban beauty with palms, crests, and gold coins- just so pretty! I left the green seal and stickers authentically as is. I think they add to the aura of the little clutch! I painted the back black and added 4 gold purse feet for protection. Four mah jongg tiles have been added to the bottom for protection, but it doesn’t really stand. I gave it a crystal knob closure for security and lined it with padded black velvet and black lace.  Gold hardware has been attached to the sides to hold the chain that comes with the clutch so that it can be crossbodied. The chain can be wrapped through twice to make it shorter and worn over the wrist as well. The  gold tone chain is approximately 49″ long. Just enough room for cell phone, keys, credit card and lipstick! 5.5 x 9 x 1.5″ THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! They only add character and charm! Large flaws will be noted in the description. If you don’t like what you see, I can do custom cigar box purses and can include anything you like!- pictures of family members, pets, places- you name it! I always ship insured. Feel free to call me! 813-655-8003

History: In 1884, a young Spanish immigrant, Angel LaMadrid Cuesta, opened his first cigar factory and soon earned a reputation as one of the greatest handmade cigar craftsmen of his day. He was joined a few years later by Peregrino Rey forming the world-renowned Cuesta-Rey premium quality cigars. Cuesta-Rey cigars were once the official cigar of 19th century Spanish King Alfonso XIII, and Señor Cuesta was honored with the title, “Tobacco Purveyor for the Spanish King and Court.” Today, more than a century later, Senor Cuesta’s commitment to handmade cigar excellence is commemorated with the Cuesta-Rey line of cigars. Cuesta Rey cigars have been a long-time favorite of Dominican cigar lovers. They are now produced by the Fuente & J. C. Newman cigar families who reside here in Tampa.
