1572 Gucci Bee on White Ostrich Cigar Box Purse
Where to start??? This is a white, wooden, slide opening, Alec Bradley cigar box to begin with. The front of the cigar box, now up cycled cigar box purse has been decoupaged with a white ostrich image and a designer inspired “Gucci” bee added to the middle- so absolutely adorable! Large half “pearls” have been added to the corners and sides. I painted the back black and sealed it. Eight gold purse feet protect the back and bottom of the cigar box purse. A crystal knob closure keeps your belongings secure. The handle is made up of gold, pearl and crystal beads and a golden vegan leather tassel. I lined the interior with padded leopard fabric. The beautiful seal is a work of art in itself and has been left authentically intact. History: Alec Bradley is the name of a popular brand of handmade cigars established in 1996 by Alan Rubin, the son of an importer of hardware supplies. Rubin launched his brand, named after his children, at the tail end of the cigar boom of the 1990s and entered a clogged market. After failed initial schemes at producing cigars targeted to golf courses and flavored after-dinner cigars, Rubin managed to carve out a tenuous niche selling budget-priced cigars to tobacconists. In 2007 the company managed to break through to a broader market with the introduction of its full-flavored “Tempus” line. As of 2011 the company was selling between two and three million cigars annually to consumers around the world.
