2106 Tampa Girl Cigar Box Purse
Let me start by saying that this is NOT a Cuban cigar box and that it originates from Nicaragua. I’ve lost track of how many of these Tampa Girl cigar box purses I have made and they continue to be so popular! Tampanians are very proud of their heritage and happy to live in such a beautiful city- me included! This is the original Tampa Girl image (there were two) of the girl sitting on the bay in Havana with the Morro Castle in the background with “Gonzalez Fisher” printed on the label. I decoupaged this image onto a dark brown, wooden, slide opening La Aroma de Cuba, El Jefe (meaning the boss) cigar box. The box itself is a beauty with dovetail detailing in the corners, nice and deep with the authenti seal. Four large red crystals frame the classic Tampa Girl image. The handle is made up of black wooden beads and a black tassel. I lined the inside of the upcycled Humadorable cigar box purse with padded leopard fabric and red trim.
The back has been painted black and sealed and eight gold purse feet have been added to the back and bottom of the purse for protection. A crystal knob serves as a closure for security. Gold hardware has been attached to the sides so that you may add a strap that you already own. This makes these little cigar box purses of mine versatile in that they can be worn by the handle, over the shoulder or cross- body. I sell straps and gold and silver cross body chains too. The chain in the last photo is available, but not included. 6.25 x 7.75 x 4.5″ ** THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! They only add character and charm! Large flaws will be noted in the description.
