1671 Pink Flamingo Gone Wild Cigar Box Purse

Oh myyyyy! Where to start with this adorable, pink, Humadorable?  If you want to make a statement, this is the cigar box purse for you- not for the shy! This up cycled creation begins as a pink (think Barney the Dinosaur) Torano cigar box with a silver Torano emblem on the front. Please note that all of these pink  boxes have small superficial scratches but they are not that noticeable and hard for me to capture in photos… An oh so cute large, silver and dark pink crystal encrusted brooch has been attached to the silver emblem and four clear crystals adorn the corners along with eight silver corner protectors front and back.   The back of the cigar box has been left in it’s original pink condition and silver purse feet further protect the back and  bottom of the purse. The inside of the cigar box purse has been lovingly lined with padded and plush black velvet and black lace trim. The gorgeous handle is made of silver beads and a silk silver tassel. The cigar box has been flipped so that the opening is now on the top and has been given a silver three ball lock for security. Silver hardware has been attached to the sides so that you may add a strap that you already own. This makes these little cigar box purses of mine versatile in that they can be worn by the handle, over the shoulder or cross- body. I sell straps and gold and silver cross body chains too. The chain in the last photo is available, but not included. 6 x 9 x 2.25″- perfect evening size for flamingling and room for cell phone, and lipstick and more! THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! These add to the character and charm. Large flaws will be noted in the description.** Please note, this box is yellowed a bit on the outside- I think from being in a smoke shop for a while and still has a cigar aroma. The aroma will fade in time, but the yellowing is permanent. The inside of the box is pristine. Please see pictures. This may bother you or make it more desirable! If you don’t like what you see, I can do custom cigar box purses and can include anything you like!- pictures of family members, pets, places- you name it! I always ship insured. History: In 1916, Don Santiago Toraño emigrated from Spain to Cuba. In 2006, after 90 years, few cigar producers stand in the light Toraño does, in terms of origin, lineage and accomplishments. “My great grandfather planted the seeds of not only tobacco“, states company president Charlie Toraño (38), “but also of a reputation for quality, a rich history, and a world-respected name. In 1960, our family fled the island when Castro seized all our land. My exiled grandfather helped General Cigars Connecticut farming operation, but made a landmark decision after two years. Convinced the Dominican Republic held promise for growing choice dark tobacco, he moved there. His vision contributed to making it the world’s leading supplier of tobacco and cigars to this day.“ According to Charlie Toraño, “my father, also named Carlos Toraño, guided the company through the past 25 years, to become one of the largest private label manufacturers of premium cigars. The family continues to make cigars for some of the most respected brands today, as well as their highly sought-after, consistently top-rated brands. These include the Exodus 1959 and Exodus Silver (named for their Cuban exile), Reserva Selecta, Signature Collection, 1916 Cameroon (honoring Don Santiago) and Casa Toraño (the long-time private family cigar). They also own their own factories in the major cigar-producing countries of Honduras and Nicaragua. Last year, Charlie Toraño rose to the post of president, succeeding his father, Carlos Toraño (63). In honor of 90 years of continuous business operation, Charlie Toraño reports. “We have worked for three years to create a cigar worthy of the celebration. We will soon introduce a new cigar, the Noventa „90 in Spanish), which also is unique in that its blend will be Nicaraguan leaf. We began growing tobacco there five years ago, near Esteli and in a small town called Pueblo Nuevo. In the Toraño tradition, this cigar promises to be nothing less than spectacular.
