2053 Benjamin Cigar Box Purse
Green is the color of money after all, so I decided to use a green, wooden, My Father, TB Serie SF cigar box in making this repurposed purse! It’s a little slide opening cigar box and an image of a $100 bill has been decoupaged onto the front. Six green crystals frame the image. I painted the back black and sealed it. The original seal has been left in tact. The inside has been lined with padded leopard fabric. I did the handle in gold, green, and crystal beads and a black silk tassel. A white porcelain knob closure keeps this little upcycled gem securely closed.
I flipped the cigar box so that the opening is on the side. Eight gold feet have been added to the now back and bottom. Gold hardware has been attached to the sides so that you may add a strap that you already own. This makes these little cigar box purses of mine versatile in that they can be worn by the handle, over the shoulder or crossbody. I sell straps and gold and silver crossbody chains too. The chain on my mannequin, Suzy, is available, but not included. 4.5 x 7 x 3.75″ THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! They only add character and charm! Large flaws will be noted in the description.
