1901 “H” Orange Hermes Scarf Equestrian Cigar Box Purse
I’ve done this same cigar box bag many times before and it always sells before I can get it on my site! This orange and gun metal image of a vintage Hermes equestrian scarf has been decoupaged onto the front of a burnt orange (similar to Hermes orange), Camacho, American, Barrel Aged, Toro cigar box. These boxes have what they refer to as a grand piano finish- 16 layers of lacquer from the factory and it also comes with a velvet back. The image looks a bit 3 dimensional. I added 4 rows of black bling to each side of the equestrian image. I did the handle in all black wooden beads and a fat black tassel. The inside has been lovingly lined with padded and plush black velvet and black lace trim. The cigar box clutch has been flipped so that the opening is now on the top and has been given a gold three ball lock for security. Eight gold purse feet have been added to the back and bottom and eight gold corner protectors to the front and back for protection. Gold hardware has been attached to the sides so that you may add a strap that you already own. This makes these little cigar box purses of mine versatile in that they can be worn by the handle, over the shoulder or cross- body. I sell straps and gold and silver cross body chains too. The chain in the last photo is available, but not included. 7 x 8.75 x 2.5″ THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC CIGAR BOX PURSE, SO SMALL FLAWS INFLICTED BY THE SMOKERS OF THE CIGARS ARE TO BE EXPECTED! They only add character and charm! Large flaws will be noted in the description.
